One of the easiest most fulfilling projects I’ve done in the past is renewing this leather bag.
It was a very worn out brown color when I first bought it from the thrift store. I had the idea to paint it a bold color, to bring it back to life. So I went to Tandy Leather Factory and purchased a small bottle (a little goes a long way) of their acrylic paints in a deep red color.
I lightly sanded the bag to prep it and went to work.
The entire bag took about an hour and 2 coats painted with a crafting sponge brush.
The results we’re impressive.
I ended up giving the bag to a kindred spirit/my mentor.
